Switching to an EV is looking more imminent in this household much to my children’s delight! I honestly didn’t realise how easy it is ! ZoomEV have been so helpful in taking time to understand my requirements and concerns about switching to an EV. They have been able to offer an EV solutions that is within my budget and a huge bonus is they have the option to be able to trial an EV for a period that works for me, which enables me to make an informed decision prior to taking the plunge and steps in contributing to a cleaner greener future for us all :) 

ZoomEV provided me with a selection of options to trial on their car sharing platform that were within my budget. The online booking system was quick and easy, and the location, MG Hendy in Crawley was simple to find. The team were friendly, covid compliant and talked me though what to expect. I was given a very thorough run down and demonstration on how to charge the car, useful tips and shown all the features within the car; which included three different modes normal, sport or economical and what those mean and how to get the most milage from the car. Dean was also very patient in answering all my questions. 

I am not sure what I was expecting when driving an electric car, but have been pleasantly surprised!!! The car is so quiet, solid on the road and fast! The gorgeous interior features of leather seats, easy navigation, brilliant sound system and sun roof are all just an added bonus. 

Charging, which was my biggest concern, is no longer as we have been given a home charger to use which comes with the car. ZoomEV have made sure that while I am ‘sharing’ the car, I have easy access to the location of rapid charge points local to me through an app. Once  we have decided on either a lease or outright purchase, ZoomEV also provide the option of an EV Driver Benefits Bundle, which is basically a one stop package covers insurance , the installation of a permanent home charge point and super competitive taffies for charging. It really couldn’t be easier to make the change!!!

After ZoomEV and Hendy MG made the first step so easy and simple, I am now wondering what all my concerns were for and why I didn’t do this earlier! I am excited to find a local rapid charger and be able to go and do my shopping or grab a coffee while I recharge the car knowing I am contributing to helping save the planet for the next few days rather than adding to the carbon emissions that are killing it. I just may need to remind myself of the make and model of the car so that I don’t go looking for the wrong car when I’m done.

 All in all day one has been an awesome experience and I am feeling good about my decision and have gained points on the mommy front with two very proud and excited eco warriors :)
