COVID-19 - Using EVs Flexibly and Safely

It's critically important that when using an EV on Zoom post the COVID-19 pandemic that the necessary precautions are taken to ensure the safety of all our members and our partners. We're a community that not only care about the environment but also about one another, which is why we (Zoom EV) are taking the steps to ensure the safe use of EVs on our platform by providing the following guidelines:

Guidelines - When sharing a business vehicle

Businesses (like auto-dealers) already have a number of covid guidelines and processes in place which mean you will be able to car share safely. These include thorough cleaning of the vehicle pre and post use, social distancing on pick up and drop off of the vehicle and wearing of masks during the exchange. Please follow the instructions of the business on site.

Guidelines - When sharing an individual's vehicle (ie peer-to-peer) sharing

On pick up:

• Maintain social distancing

• Host leave the key in the vehicle so that it does not need to be handed over

• Host should disinfect the key, steering wheel and main internal areas before use

• Host should leave cleaning products (e.g. disinfectant wipes) in the vehicle

• Guest should disinfect their hands before entering the vehicle and regularly thereafter

• We recommend that both the Host and the Guest use a face mask

On drop off:

• Maintain social distancing

• Guest leave the key in the vehicle so that it does not need to be handed over

• Guest should disinfect the key, steering wheel and main internal areas before use with products left in the car by the Host

• We recommend that both the Host and the Guest use a face mask

The key thing is to remain two metres apart from people at anyone time!
